ChordIntel Support

Official ChordIntel support for search, My Tabs, song editing, tuner microphone access, offline use and troubleshooting on iPhone and iPad.

ChordIntel is designed as an offline-first music utility for finding songs, viewing chords and lyrics, saving your own library, editing personal song versions and tuning guitar, ukulele or other instruments. Use the checks below if something is not working as expected.

Quick troubleshooting

  1. Close and reopen ChordIntel if a screen stops responding.
  2. Make sure you are using the latest available version of ChordIntel from the App Store or TestFlight.
  3. If local library data appears stale after an update, reopen the app once and allow the local database to finish loading.
  4. If a problem is reproducible, include the screen, song or action that causes it when contacting support.

ChordIntel search works from the app's local catalog. You can search by song title, artist and other indexed catalog information. Vietnamese text can be searched with normal accented input. If a result is missing, first try the exact artist or song name and confirm that the catalog has finished loading.

My Tabs, favorites and playlists

Favorites, recent songs, followed artists and playlists are part of your personal ChordIntel library. These features are intended to remain available on the device. If you reinstall the app, local-only data may not survive unless it has been synchronized through an available account or cloud feature.

Song editing and personal versions

ChordIntel can save personal lyric and chord edits without overwriting the bundled catalog original. If an edit does not look right, return to the song version controls and confirm which version is active. For a reproducible editing issue, include the song title and the exact edit action that caused the problem.

Tuner and microphone

  • Use Guitar mode for standard E2–A2–D3–G3–B3–E4 string recognition.
  • Use Ukulele mode for G4–C4–E4–A4 tuning.
  • Use Chromatic mode when you want pitch detection without restricting the target to standard guitar or ukulele strings.
  • For steadier detection, play one string at a time and reduce strong background noise.
  • If you use headphones or another audio route, disconnect and reconnect the route if iOS changes the active microphone unexpectedly.

Offline use

ChordIntel's core catalog, search and personal local library are designed to work without a constant internet connection. Features that explicitly depend on an account, synchronization or an online service may require connectivity.

ChordIntel support FAQ

Why does the tuner not hear my instrument?

Check that microphone permission is enabled for ChordIntel, play one string at a time, reduce background noise and confirm that iOS is using the expected microphone or audio route.

Can I use ChordIntel without internet?

Core catalog browsing, local search, tuner and local library functionality are designed to work offline. Account or cloud-enabled features may require internet access.

Will editing a song destroy the original catalog version?

No. Personal song edits are designed to be stored separately from the bundled catalog original so you can keep your own version without overwriting the source catalog.

What should I include in a bug report?

Include the device model, iOS/iPadOS version, ChordIntel version, the affected screen or song, the steps that reproduce the issue and a screenshot when useful.
