ChordIntel is a music utility and reference app for browsing songs, chords and lyrics, saving personal library items, editing local song versions and tuning instruments. This page describes what information the app may process, what stays on your device, and what may be sent to an online service when you deliberately use an account or cloud-enabled feature.
Information stored locally on your device
Core app data can be stored locally on your device. This may include favorites, recently viewed songs, followed artists, playlists, app settings, locally edited lyrics or chord versions, and other user-created app state. Local data remains on the device unless you use a feature that explicitly syncs or submits it.
- Favorites, recent activity and playlists used to personalize your own library.
- Locally edited song content or personal song versions you create inside the app.
- Tuner settings such as instrument mode or reference pitch.
- Other app preferences required to restore your experience between launches.
Microphone and tuner
Microphone access is optional and is requested only when you choose to use microphone-based tuning. You can deny or later revoke microphone permission in iOS Settings. If microphone access is unavailable, other parts of the app can continue to work.
Account and cloud-enabled features
If you choose to use an account, synchronization, community submission or another online feature, ChordIntel may process the information needed to provide that feature. Depending on the feature, this can include your name, email address, a user or account identifier, content you submit, and product-interaction information needed to synchronize or operate the service.

- User content that you deliberately save, submit or synchronize through an online feature.
- Product-interaction data needed to operate synchronization, moderation, troubleshooting or account functionality.
Advertising, tracking and sale of personal information
ChordIntel does not use third-party advertising trackers, does not use an advertising identifier to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and does not sell personal information for advertising purposes.
Search activity
The app's catalog search is designed to work from the local music database. ChordIntel does not need to upload your ordinary song or artist search terms in order to perform local search. If a future online feature clearly requires a server request, that feature will be handled according to this policy and the information shown in the app.
Service providers and platform services
Apple may process information independently when you download, purchase, test or use ChordIntel through the App Store, TestFlight or Apple platform services. If you use ChordIntel cloud functionality, technical service providers may process the minimum data necessary to host or deliver that functionality on our behalf.
Data retention and deletion
Local app data generally remains on your device until you remove it inside the app, reset the relevant feature, or delete the app. Information associated with an online account or cloud feature is retained only as needed to provide the feature, maintain service integrity, resolve disputes or meet applicable legal obligations. You may contact us to request help with account-related data deletion.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information handled by ChordIntel. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should avoid submitting sensitive information that is not required for the app's functionality.
Children
ChordIntel is a general music utility and is not designed specifically to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through an online feature without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review the request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when ChordIntel's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.

Does the tuner upload my microphone audio?
No. The microphone-based tuner analyzes audio on the device in real time and does not require recording, saving or uploading tuner audio.
Does ChordIntel track me for advertising?
No. ChordIntel does not use third-party advertising trackers or an advertising identifier to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Where are my favorites, playlists and edits stored?
Core library state and local edits can be stored on your device. If you deliberately enable an account or synchronization feature, the data needed for that feature may also be processed online.
How do I request deletion of account-related data?
